Modular 2-1/4 by 7-5/8 in., at 6.86 pieces per square foot. Corner 2-1/4 by 3-5/8 by 7-5/8 in. at 4.7 pieces per linear foot, a 135 degree corner at the same size, and an edge cap.
King 2-5/8 by 9-5/8 in., at 4.8 pieces per square foot. Corner 2-5/8 by 2-3/4 by 9-5/8 in. at 4.5 pieces per linear foot, and an edge cap at the same size.
Norman 2-1/4 by 11-5/8 in., at 4.57 pieces per square foot. Corner 2-1/4 by 3-5/8 by 11-5/8 in. at 4.7 pieces per linear foot, and an edge cap at the same size.
Utility 3-5/8 by 11-5/8 in., at 3.0 pieces per square foot. Corner 3-5/8 by 3-5/8 by 11-5/8 in. at 4.3 pieces per linear foot, and an edge cap at the same size.
Thickness 5/8 in. across every size. Tolerance is plus 0, minus 1/16 in. under 8 in., and plus 0, minus 3/32 in. from 8 to 12 in.
Custom Custom sizes on request. Full brick in FBX grade in the same four sizes.

PCI and test data.

MetroBrick meets PCI tolerances and standards. Tumbled and handmade units fall outside PCI tolerances.

Standard Stated to exceed ASTM C1088 Type TBX Select for exterior grade, and to meet or exceed the PCI Specification for Embedded Clay Thin Brick.
Back Dovetail.
Cold water absorption Under 3% by ASTM C67. PCI allows 6% for nonglazed brick.
Saturation coefficient Not required. ASTM C1088 waives it when cold water absorption is 8% or less. MetroBrick lists a higher figure for 100 Alabaster, so confirm that color with your rep.
Efflorescence None.
Chipping Under 2%, against a 3% maximum.
Modulus of rupture Over 500 psi, against a 250 psi minimum.
Compressive strength 10,000 psi.
Freeze thaw Passed 3,000 cycles under ASTM C67, against a 50 cycle minimum. Brick cast in concrete passed 300 cycles at 150 psi or better under ASTM C666 Procedure B.
Pull-out 150 psi or greater through the 300 cycles in concrete, which is the PCI requirement by its modified ASTM E488 method.
Shear bond Over 150 psi under ASTM C482, against a 50 psi minimum.
Chemical resistance Not affected, under ASTM C650.
Recycled content At least 23% pre-consumer, with an EPD, an HPD and a Green Squared certificate.

Textures and blends.

Smooth A consistent, uniform face with the slight roughness left by the extrusion die.
Velour Shown in the 04/24 brochure on 350 Main Street Flashed. It does not appear on the textures page.
Wire Cut Vertical pulls and tears in the face, the look of traditional wire cut facing brick.
Ironspot A metallic additive mixed into the raw materials that blooms to the surface in firing. Ironrock adds it to existing colors, which then carry an X suffix.
Vintage Distressed edges and a heavily distressed surface. Modular only, in the single tone and range colors. Ironrock states it fits form liners and meets the PCI standard.
Vertical Score Vertical channels from edge to edge. Ironrock states it meets the PCI standard for precast.
Scalloped A random curved and layered pattern. Ironrock states it meets the PCI standard for precast.
Blends The Imperial Blend Series, standard in Modular and in the other sizes on request. Custom blends of two to four colors to your recipe.
Availability Not every texture runs in every color. Confirm the color and texture pair with your rep before it goes on a drawing.

Modular 52 pieces and 7.58 sq ft per carton, 6.86 pieces per sq ft, 60 cartons per pallet at 3,120 pieces and 454.8 sq ft, 5.27 lb per sq ft. Kerfed Modular runs 104 pieces per carton.
Norman 40 pieces and 8.75 sq ft per carton, 4.57 pieces per sq ft, 54 cartons per pallet at 472.5 sq ft.
King 40 pieces and 8.33 sq ft per carton, 4.8 pieces per sq ft, 55 cartons per pallet at 458.15 sq ft.
Utility 20 pieces and 6.67 sq ft per carton, 3.0 pieces per sq ft, 72 cartons per pallet at 480.24 sq ft.
Corners and edge caps 16 to 24 pieces per carton by size, from the packaging sheet.
